Especially constructed for the serious student or the beginning performer.
This model was developed and built by me many years and now made in collaborative effort between me and Antonio Picado of Barcelona, Spain.
It has a rosette design of concentric rings and a unique headstock shape.
It is physically light, very penetrating and easy to play. Volume is great with a lot of sustain and warmth.

It is a shame that the 2a is not made with a 20th fret anymore. That was a great plus for the model to have. Guitar salon international is now selling this guitar signed by Antonio Picado but with no 20th fret. I would rather have the 20th fret than the signature.
Dear Mr. Rivera,
Thanks for the comment.
If you want a 2A model with 20 frets I can have it made for you and have it send to GSI.
In any case I will make sure some of the next 2A models I will send to GSI have 20 frets.
If I can be of any more assistance, please let me know.
With kind regards,
Otto Vowinkel

I love my Spruce 2003 2A. I purchased the guitar used from the original owner that hardly played it. After a few weeks it has opened up into a wonderfully balanced and warm sounding guitar. It is my work horse guitar.
Dear Mr. Ochoa,
Thanks for your nice words about the guitar. It is always good to hear people are that satisfied with my instruments.
Best regards,
Otto Vowinkel
Really enjoying this 2a”F” (flamenco) that I’m trying out from GSI in LA. It’s a real nice smaller Granada type body that projects very well. I also like all the little details that were put into the guitar. The 12 hole bridge makes absolute sense and I can see that it helps prevent any type of string slippage. Excellent job on this flamenco model!
