Tariq Harb’s questions

Last month Tariq Harb sent me this beautiful Regondi excerpt together with some questions about his 1996 built, spruce top guitar he just bought at the Grand Guitar Salon in Montreal. In case you have the same questions, these are my answers. In case you have other ones: don’t hesitate to ask.

Is it built using traditional construction? If so, are there 7 fan struts or more/less?

The guitar is built quite traditional with 5 fan struts.

Do you generally follow the Torres model, or any other model? Do you still use the same method of construction for your new guitars?

My instruments have changed over the years. I am always looking for something better of course. But although my model is a little different at the moment, I use the same traditional way of building. Not exactly the same as Torres but still based on it.
